Physician Practice Management Solutions
(PPMS or PMS) are available that link
with clinical systems using the
X -Link Medical Software
Interfacing (MSI). You may
interface a (PPMS or PMS) with popular EHRs,
Labs, Patient Histories, or Appointment Reminders using the
X -Link RTI technology.
You may send electronic claims directly to Medicare, Medicaid, Blue
Cross/Blue Shield, Humana, Tricare/Champus and Commercial carriers for no
monthly fee - or to your choice of clearinghouse - using
X -Link Electronic Data
Interchange (EDI).
(
EMR / EHR ) Electronic Health Records or Electronic Medical
Records systems provide security and productivity for physician offices.
HIPAA compliance, patient privacy, charts lookup and other tools have pushed
focus on ( EMR / EHR ) applications to the forefront of physician software
systems. X
-Link Medical Software Interfacing (MSI)
will automatically transfer patient demographic information from the PMS to the
( EMR / EHR ). In many applications,
X
-Link Medical Software Interfacing (MSI) can also transfer patient demographics
back from the ( EMR / EHR ) to the PMS and also post superbills. This
process will save the practice time and money and dramatically increase
productivity by reducing the extra work necessary to input the data into two or
more systems. ( EMR / EHR )
Patient
History Systems (PHS) provide patients the ability to directly input their
medical history into your charting system. Patients can fill out the
interactive questionnaire online from home or at the office. This saves
valuable service providers' time in the office. Patient History is then
added to the patient chart, improving charting documentation.

Electronic Prescriptions (e-Rx) are becoming a very popular tool in the small
medical practice. They are a means to eliminate duplicate data entry,
handwritten and illegible prescriptions, needless hours spent on the telephone
with the pharmacy for a variety of reasons, and they even help eliminate patient
casualties. Legislators have jumped on board with e-Rx's, and most states
allow for this new technology, some even encourage it.
( Drug / Prescription )

Lab Ordering Systems are often installed in the
medical clinic by the local laboratory in order to enhance the lab ordering
process. Lab Orders are electronically sent to the lab, which reduces the
need for handwritten lab orders and helps both the lab and the physician office
reduce paperwork and duplicate entry.
( Lab Information Systems )

Appointment Reminder Systems automatically call the patients to remind them
and/or confirm their appointments. This automates a task that is normally
performed by a staff member in the practice, or in some practices does not occur
at all. This reduces no-show appointments and increases staff
productivity, which reduces overhead costs. (

Electronic
Claims Processing is a process by which practices and hospitals can send their
insurance claims via X
-Link Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) to the insurance carriers. The
benefits of EDI include faster claims reimbursement, electronic claims error
checking (called claim edits), reduced paperwork,
increase productivity, and happier office personnel.
